Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workday Functional Consultant specializing in Talent and Performance modules. As a key member of our implementation team, you will be responsible for leading the design, configuration, testing, and deployment of Workday solutions to meet our clients' Talent and Performance management needs.
Key Responsibilities
- As a key member of our product management team, you will be responsible for implementing and configuring our Talent Management software to meet the needs of our business owners.
- Work collaboratively across the Schwab’s HR and IT teams to understand business strategies, program design initiatives and turn them into clear business requirements
- Conduct complex business analysis and gather functional requirements to produce documentation and information on current and future processes & systems
- Serve on Agile team(s) to provide subject matter expertise on processes and data sources
- Configure Workday Talent and Performance modules to meet client specifications, including but not limited to: Talent Management, Performance Management, Succession Planning, and Career Development.
- Partner with the business to translate requirements into stories, establish priority and assist with UAT to aid in decision making related Talent solutions
- Identify, design, configure, test, implement, execute and maintain Workday's Talent Management system configuration to meet the business needs.
- Demonstrate design options using prototyping
- Drive adoption of new technology enhancements to improve capabilities during each release cycle
- Lead/Project manage the annual review cycle, including in-depth involvement with Workday configuration
- Identify trends or root cause behaviors for issues and errors, and manage potential solutions Aid in troubleshooting of any issues with the Workday Talent Management system
- Provide guidance and expertise to clients on best practices for Talent and Performance management processes within Workday.
Qualifications
- This is a highly visible role that requires strong problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of Talent Management processes.
- This challenging position requires an individual with a strong background in Talent Management, ideally with Workday experience
- Workday HCM and Performance Management certifications preferred.
- You must have a solid understanding of talent management processes and best practices, as well as an ability to work closely with business owners to identify requirements, configure the Workday system, and develop solutions to meet their needs
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills will be essential in order to build and maintain relationships with business owners.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Human Resources, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience implementing and configuring Workday HCM solutions, with a focus on Talent and Performance modules.
- Experience leading workshops and gathering requirements from clients.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex business processes and translate them into Workday solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and team members at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
