Job description:
Responsibilities:
· Define and architect scalable and maintainable automated testing frameworks and solutions for Workday modules, leveraging industry best practices and technologies.
· Lead the design and development of automated test scripts, libraries, and utilities to validate Workday functionalities, integrations, and business processes.
· Demonstrate proficiency in designing data migration testing frameworks, leveraging extensive experience to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency during migration.
· Leverage extensive experience in migration to lead the development and execution of test strategies and plans for migrating legacy systems to Workday.
· Identify opportunities for test automation and provide recommendations for automating manual testing activities to improve testing coverage and effectiveness.
· Conduct feasibility assessments and ROI analysis to prioritize automation efforts and maximize automation coverage for Workday modules.
· Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated testing into the continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline for Workday applications.
· Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in test automation, continuously evaluating and adopting new tools and frameworks to enhance testing capabilities.
· Provide technical leadership and support in troubleshooting automation issues, optimizing test scripts, and enhancing automation infrastructure.
Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
· 10+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on test automation and architecting automated testing frameworks for enterprise applications using Python or Java.
· Proven expertise in designing and implementing automated testing frameworks using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber, or similar.
· Familiarity with ETL testing methodologies and tools (e.g., NoSQL, Elastic, Microsoft Informatica, Talend, Boomi) and API testing tools and techniques.
· Strong understanding of HR and HCM concepts, business processes, and regulations.
· Relevant certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) and Workday (e.g., Workday Pro, Workday HCM Fundamentals, Prism, People Analytics and reports) are a plus.
· Familiarity with database automation tools and libraries (e.g., SQL Alchemy) for automating database operations, querying databases, and validating data integrity will be a plus.
