Payroll Lead:
A Workday Payroll Lead is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of payroll processing within a Workday-based system. This role requires a deep understanding of payroll regulations, best practices, and the ability to effectively utilize Workday's payroll functionality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll Processing:
- Oversee the timely and accurate processing of payroll for all employees.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Manage payroll tax filings and reporting.
- Process payroll adjustments, deductions, and benefits.
- System Administration:
- Contribute to the Workday design discovery sessions and provide the business requirements needed to configure and maintain Workday's payroll module to meet organizational needs.
- Manage payroll data and security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve payroll system issues.
- Team Management:
- Lead and manage a team of payroll specialists or analysts.
- Assign tasks, provide guidance, and ensure team productivity.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to streamline payroll processes and improve efficiency.
- Implement best practices and automation to reduce manual tasks.
- Compliance:
- Stay up-to-date on changes in payroll regulations and ensure compliance.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to identify and address potential issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of payroll principles, processes, and regulations.
- Experience with Workday payroll module.
