Job Title: Senior Software engineer (Workday/Oracle)
Client: Regional Transportation District (RTD)
Duration: Full Time
Location: Denver, CO 80202_Hybrid
**60% remote and 40% on-site as per current policy
This position maintains ERP systems by designing, developing, unit testing and debugging different components of the system Reports/interfaces/workflows in Oracle Applications or Workday/Cloud applications.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
ESSENTIAL:
- Partner and work collaboratively with RTD business stakeholders to gain an understanding of business requirements, translate those requirements into solution recommendations, and implement functionality to meet objectives in Oracle Applications or Workday system.
- Provide daily operational support for production systems including providing on-call support.
- Responds to requests for reports from across the organization in an accurate and timely manner.
- Designs/develops new integrations needed in and out of the ERP Systems.
- Manage integration support issues across the data flows, upstream/downstream in ERP Systems through to resolution.
- Works with user groups to understand and resolve the issues in ERP Systems for new and existing processes, reports, and domains.
- Follow SDLC methodology to develop documentation, gather business approvals, test and implement any system enhancements in the production environment. Follow the change management process for migration.
- Conducts program tests by developing test plans and performing or overseeing testing to verify that the programs function correctly and that modifications have not caused errors.
- Reviews and analyzes programs to gain understanding of the implementation of the underlying business functions, develops work plans and cost estimates and analyzes alternative approaches; advises users on the feasibility of a cost-effective conversion to web based systems.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
- A minimum of five years of experience in Workday or Oracle Applications with preference for Human Capital Management, Payroll, Finance.
- A minimum of three years of experience in Workday or Oracle Applications Reporting, Integrations, Business processes and workflows.
- Experience with integration tools (i.e., Custom Reports, API, EIB, Studio).
- Ability to analyze data logically, defining, evaluating, and solving difficult technical and operational problems where solutions may be precedent-establishing.
- A minimum of five years of experience in SQL, and PL/SQL writing for database driven applications and report writing.
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong presentation skills and ability to convey technical information to non-technical users.
- Ability to use sound judgment.
- Ability to manage time and workload effectively which includes planning, organizing, and prioritizing with attention to details.
