Akkodis is seeking a Director, HR Technology, for a Direct Hire job with a client located in Emeryville, CA (Hybrid).
Pay Range: $140,000 to $160,000; The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
About Role:
As the Director, HR Technology, you will develop and execute a comprehensive HCM strategy and HR Technology roadmap to enable our people vision and align with HR, business objectives and priorities in support of the current and future needs of our growing organization. You will implement, maintain, and optimize our HR systems/tools, and build out our people analytics and reporting capabilities to enable scalable data-driven talent decisions. You have a deep understanding of HR processes, technology expertise, and a proven track record of driving efficiency and effectiveness while leading and developing a high performing team while having fun. The Director, HR Technology, will report to the VP, Human Resources.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, implementation, integration, and operational support for the systems that support our HR processes and programs.
- Drive operational excellence and process optimization initiatives that are aimed at improving the employee experience via automation, enabling self-service, streamlining processes and workflows through the effective use of HCM capabilities Collaborate with HR and cross-functional teams to implement process improvements.
- Lead and project manage end-to-end system implementations including acting as Technology Lead to facilitate discovery meetings, gather and document system requirements, lead UAT testing, participate in change management efforts.
- Oversee day to day operations including HR Operations administration, enhancements, upgrades, bug fixes and QA protocol while maintaining SOX compliance.
- Closely collaborate with HR stakeholders to ensure business requirements are clearly defined and design scalable and effective system solutions to meet HR functional needs.
- Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies and trends in HR information systems
- Develop and deliver training programs to educate users on the HCM functionality and best practices. Leading change management initiatives to drive user adoption and maximize the benefits of the system.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with HRIS vendors and service providers. Evaluate and select new vendors as needed, negotiating contracts and service agreements.
Data management, Reporting, and Compliance:
- Overseeing data management processes within our HCM, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements.Implement controls and safeguards to mitigate risks related to HR data management.
- Architect and integrate systems that enhance data management, analytics, and reporting capabilities for HR decision-making.
Leadership and cross functional collaboration:
- Manage, coach, and develop members of the HR Technology team. Set prioritized goals and metrics to measure the growth and performance of the team.
- Partner with cross-functional teams closely, including Business Technology, Legal, Payroll, and other HR functions to ensure successful delivery and adoption of HRIS solutions and seamless integration with existing systems.
- Drive results by inspiring people, role modeling the client values, developing the capabilities of others, and ensuring a productive work environment.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, systems analysis or a related study preferred.
- 10+ years’ experience in the HR technology field with 3+ years as a people manager.
- Innovative, solution oriented and up to date on industry best practices.
- Experience driving transformational change through people-related technology solutions.
- Hands-on experience with various HRIS systems including implementation and configuration (UKG and/or Workday preferred).
- Experience managing business process definitions, calculated fields, reports, dashboard, and integration design.
- Experience integrating and harmonizing HR systems and tools as a result of organizational changes and M&As preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of stakeholders.
- Proven expertise in framing complex, ambiguous issues.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to translate HR metrics into business impact.
- Experience managing system contracts and renewals preferred.
- Experience partnering and directing HR technical service providers, as well as external HR/IT consultants.
