Job Description
This role is part of a global team and supports initiatives in multiple countries around the world. Job duties involve both hands on work and significant Project Management, coordinating with colleagues at Western Digital and third parties as well, assisting in implementing new modules, improving existing features and supporting the Workday platform in general. You will use your extensive Workday experiences as well as communication skills to manage stakeholders across businesses and HR.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Lead HR Systems enhancements throughout their lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design and configuration of solutions, testing, and change management (communication, end-user training).
- Identify, lead, and proactively promote changes in systems and processes to improve and optimize our operations.
- Create and follow test plans to manage system upgrades.
- Troubleshoot HRIS system-related issues, and present and implement solutions to address root causes.
- Identify ways to increase user effectiveness and work to implement improvements.
- Work collaboratively with the global HR Systems team and broader HR team on projects that range from addressing Compliance/Legal needs to improving the user experience.
- Data collection, data management, data analysis and reporting.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Workday HCM experience.
- 3-5 years experience with Payroll systems (Dayforce preferred but not required).
- 3-5 years of experience with Tableau or related BI tools.
- Knowledgeable in Workday Business Analysis, Business Process configuration and Reporting.
- Expert in Workday Reports development (Advanced, Matrix, Simple), and creating custom reports using different combinations of calculated fields, and Workday integration with inbound EIB’s.
- Proficient knowledge and hands on experience in most of the Business Processes in Workday including Hire, Terminate, Job Change, Transfer, Compensation Change, and Payments.
- Develops user procedures, guidelines, and documentations.

Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree from four-year college or university.
- Minimum 3 + years of directly related HRIS and Workday experience.
- Minimum 3+ years of data analytics and BI tool like tableau experience.
- Workday implementation and configuration experience in area specifically HCM, Talent and Performance, Advanced Compensation, Integrations, Reporting or Time and Absence modules is required.

- An employee’s pay position within the salary range may be based on several factors including but not limited to (1) relevant education; qualifications; certifications; and experience; (2) skills, ability, knowledge of the job; (3) performance, contribution and results; (4) geographic location; (5) shift; (6) internal and external equity; and (7) business and organizational needs.
- The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California, Colorado, New York or remote jobs that can be performed in California, Colorado and New York. This range may be modified in the future.
- You will be eligible to participate in Western Digital’s Short-Term Incentive (STI) Plan, which provides incentive awards based on Company and individual performance. Depending on your role and your performance, you may be eligible to participate in our annual Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program, which consists of restricted stock units (RSUs) or cash equivalents, pursuant to the terms of the LTI plan. Please note that not all roles are eligible to participate in the LTI program, and not all roles are eligible for equity under the LTI plan. RSU awards are also available to eligible new hires, subject to Western Digital’s Standard Terms and Conditions for Restricted Stock Unit Awards.
