THE OPPORTUNITY
Our continued growth brings about an immediate need for a and innovative and collaborative Workday Financials Consultant (Implement/Configure) to join our team. In this role, you will ensure the successful implementation of the Workday Financials solution with customers through product and implementation expertise.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Partner with client to understand business requirements and configure the Workday solution to satisfy those requirements.
- Demonstrate the configurations by developing prototype systems.
- Assist the client in testing the Workday solution.
- Understand Workday’s Implementation Methodology and use it in all engagements.
- Ensure the client takes advantage of Workday’s proven solutions.
- Work with the client to help convert legacy data into Workday.
- Assist the Integration team in helping to configure and test integrations between Workday and third-party/custom solutions.
- Mentor and share product knowledge with other consultants.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING FOR SUCCESS
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business or a related field.
- 3+ years’ experience implementing Workday Financials within a consulting and/or software company; 1 or more years of which should be with the Public Sector (local, state, or federal).
- Extensive experience implementing and configuring Financials systems, requirements capturing, configuration, data conversion, and testing.
- Workday proficiency and consultant (not client) certification in 2 or more of the following:
- Procurement
- Strategic Sourcing
- Customers/AR/Billing
- Core Finance including FDM Projects
- Grants
- Inventory
- Expenses
- Banking & Settlements
- Assets
- Demonstrated ability in business analysis and requirements gathering.
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
- Experience deploying multiple Workday Financials projects simultaneously, Finance/Accounting experience and the ability to learn technology quickly through instruction and self-training is preferred.
