Financial Analyst - NYC/New Jersey - $70-90K
A leading and rapidly growing company in the Utilities industry is seeking a Financial Analyst for their Corporate FP&A team. This role will be instrumental in supporting financial planning and analysis processes, including financial modeling, investment evaluation, budgeting, and forecasting. They're looking for a proactive self-starter with a passion for data analysis, who can offer valuable insights to drive the company’s strategic growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain financial models to support data-driven decision-making.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, forecasts, and key performance indicators.
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses, assess risk factors, and evaluate potential investment opportunities.
- Assist in preparing and monitoring budgets and financial forecasts.
- Generate detailed financial reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.
- Work cross-functionally with departments (e.g., accounting, marketing, operations) to gather information and deliver financial insights.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field
- 2-4 years of experience in FP&A
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with a strong understanding of financial modeling, balance sheets, cash flows, and investment metrics (NPV, IRR, ROI)
- Experience with Adaptive Planning (Modeling, Reporting)
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience a plus
