Responsibilities:
Workday is looking for a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join a collaborative and growing team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, a great communicator, and enjoys collaborating with people with a diverse set of talents, in a dynamic fast-pace environment. This position will report to the Accounting Manager. Through the involvement in various operational activities and monthly close procedures, this position will play a pivotal role in the accounting processes.
- Manage monthly expense accrual calculations primarily relating to accruals for goods and services received but not invoiced
- Review and analyze lease contracts to determine the appropriate accounting treatment
- Responsible for coordinating, processing and analyzing lease transactions
- Compile and analyze information to prepare journal entries in compliance with GAAP
- Perform month-end ledger account reconciliations; investigate and resolve variances in ledger accounts
- Process operational transactions with a high level of accuracy – including but not limited to bank reconciliation, prepaid expenses, fixed assets and leases
- Assist in balance sheet and income statement flux analysis in accordance with close timelines
- Support SOX compliance efforts and assist in improvement of control procedures
- Assist with audits, including preparing work papers for the auditors and analyzing data.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance
- Support month-end close processes
- Perform various ad hoc projects as requested
Basic qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (or with an emphasis in accounting)
- Software/Tech and/or SaaS industry HIGHLY preferred
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience
Other qualifications:
- Public accounting
- Experience using large ERP system
- Strong understanding of accounting principles
- Proficiency with MS Excel
- Experience with tight deadlines and timeliness for work performed
- High attention to details and accuracy, excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong analytical skills and problem solving abilities
- Collaborative teammate to work with cross-functional teams
- Eagerness to learn and tackle challenges in a rapidly growing and dynamic environment
This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position: $45.00/hour-$53.00/hour
