About the Team
The Student Product Management team is growing, and we are looking for a motivated problem solver and hardworking collaborator to fill the role of Functional Architect. We are a team of passionate product managers working to deliver a modern student system that focuses on user experiences and empowers students.
About the Role
The Functional Architect is someone that is passionate about solving cross-product business problems, discovering how to leverage and enhance Workday technology, and working in partnership with our technical team.
They will support the product team and our business in many critical areas. Success in this role will require you to:

Build a deep understanding of products, tools, and frameworks and educate the team on available and planned technology capabilities.

Serve as the representative for cross-team initiatives taking place outside of your own functional domain, providing guidance and direction to impacted teams.

Partner with other functional architects on strategic product initiatives and process improvements.

Promote consistency in how the team designs and builds new functionality.

Develop a broad understanding of the critical projects and initiatives, review proposed feature specifications, and provide guidance on architecture decisions.

Ensure the scalability of designs, allowing for iterative solutions that meet both short and long term customer needs.

Assist in scoping and sizing discussions with a focus on cross-team impacts, strategic customer requirements, and critical deployments.

Organize and prioritize tools and framework enhancement requests.

Mentor and coach other Product Managers.
About You
You possess a curious mind and an ability to solve problems by thinking differently. You are passionate about trying new things, failing fast and learning from those mistakes to get to the right outcome. You are comfortable leading with influence rather than authority; able to sell your ideas and perspectives to peers and stakeholders and bring them on the journey with you.
Basic Qualifications

8+ years designing, building, or implementing Workday Student
-
Broad understanding of the Higher Education industry - including student admissions, student core, curriculum management, academic records, academic advising, student financial services and financial aid

Familiarity with the touchpoints between Student, Human Capital Management and Financials.

Self-directed and always looking to address problems with an aim to find innovative solutions.

Find great pleasure in helping others understand, coordinate and address critical business opportunities.

Highly organized and able to lead multiple projects in a large, complex organization.

A collaborative teammate who uses positive leadership to coordinate and deliver results across teams.

Strong critical and analytical thinking skills and comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty.

In-depth knowledge of Workday frameworks, design patterns and technologies.

Demonstrated experience with cross-pillar collaboration projects.
Workday Pay Transparency Statement
The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $168,000 USD - $252,000 USD
Additional CAN Location(s) Base Pay Range: $148,600 - $223,000 CAD
