Workday's Data and Content Generation team empowers internal and external customers with a set of immersive experiences around data and content. Drawing on familiar paradigms from the consumer world, this team strives to unlock the power of document and email layout and delivery experiences as well as productivity tools throughout the Workday ecosystem.
About The Role
Are you passionate about building outstanding UX? Do you like to solving hard and sophisticated at-scale problems? Love working with document tools? Help build Workday's Docs products! The Workday Docs team is dedicated to building an extensible platform and a consumer based interface to allow our customers to define document layouts.
Lead a team of dynamic software developers building consumer base UX that empowers customers as well as all internal teams at Workday.
Offer coaching, mentoring, and support to direct report staff in both technical and non-technical issues. Provide support for their career growth and personal development.
Work closely with multi-functional teams towards operational excellence. Partner with Product Management to develop a release scope and to ensure that features meet requirements.
Drive process improvement within a development organization. Institute and embrace excellent engineering practices.

About You
Basic Qualifications:
Manager, Software Development Engineering
- 5+ years of software development experience or relative with large-scale web-based applications.
- 2+ years of management or lead experience in engineering teams
- 2+ years of React/Javascript experience at an enterprise level
Associate Manager, Software Development Engineering
- 5+ years of software development experience or relative with large-scale web-based applications.
- 2+ years of management or lead experience in engineering teams
- Workday Xpresso experience
Other Qualifications:
- Worked closely with cross-functional teams of product management, researchers, and designers to deliver software to customers
- Strong technical expertise in software development and engineering best practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to a wide variety of audiences.
- Enterprise software experience
- Experience leading and developing people in an environment that emphasizes learning, development, equity and inclusion.
- Knowledge of document management systems are a plus.
Workday Pay Transparency Statement
The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $148,000 USD - $222,000 USD
Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $140,600 USD - $264,000 USD
