About The Role
Workday is looking for a Data Scientist Intern to join our team. You will be working on a team with fellow data scientists and data engineers. You will play a pivotal role in helping define and grow processes, methods, and outcomes to inform excellent user experience using data science. You will work closely with research teams and senior contributors.
Our ideal candidate is a driven student who is passionate about data and has a track record of using data to inform decisions. You have the curiosity and self-motivation to continuously learn new techniques and tools to extract value from data. You are a strong communicator with a talent for storytelling, and ability to work well with cross functional partners. Day to day you will be:
- Merging and joining data from disparate sources using SQL
- Contributing to setting a team pattern for exploratory data analysis
- Writing Python code for standardized feature engineering to contribute to feature catalog
- Thought collaboration on existing data science analyses and models
- Presenting to senior team members and management
About You
Basic Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor or Master’s degree, to which you will return to in Fall 2025
- Majoring in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or similar field
- Able to commit to full time internship program for 12 weeks during summer of 2025
- Proficient knowledge of Python
- Experience using Github
- Understands basics of SQL

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $41,600 USD - $135,000 USD
Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $39,500 USD - $135,000 USD
