A Finance Technology Portfolio Leader is responsible for managing the support and operations for a group of technologies that enable the Finance function. This role is responsible to manage the full application lifecycle of the solutions, from inception through development, deployment, and continuous improvement. They collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize and implement enhancements, oversee the solutions performance, and ensures compliance with security and governance policies.
Key Responsibilities
Product Solution Design and Technical Requirements:
- Provide support to Product Owners, through the full project lifecycle, from initial implementation to ongoing enhancements / optimizations, addressing and resolving issues related to the Workday Financials system.
- Configure and maintain the Workday Financials system to meet the organization's needs.
- Develop a deep understanding of financial business processes and their technical integration with Workday functionalities.
- Ensures appropriate quality of testing of the solution(s) design has been achieved E2E, in a production like environment, prior to deployment.
- Analyzing and interpreting data to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Designing and implementing innovative financial technology solutions to enhance business processes.
- Demonstrates adaptability to new releases and updates within the Workday platform, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with industry standards.
Application Portfolio Management
- Oversee the management and execution of the Financials systems portfolio, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Guarantee the integrity of financial data within the system, supporting regular audits and validations.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate financial systems and ensure seamless operations.
- Continuously researching and staying up-to-date with the latest financial technology trends and advancements.
- Demonstrates independence in managing projects and making informed decisions, with competence in prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and organizational goals.
IT Governance / Risk framework
- Establishing and maintaining a governance structure that aligns IT strategy with business objectives.
- Informing the development and implementation of policies, procedures, controls, and metrics to manage IT risks effectively.
- Implementing controls and safeguards to mitigate identified risks and regularly monitoring their effectiveness.
- Investing in continuous improvement of the IT governance framework to adapt to the evolving technological landscape and emerging threats.
- Release and Deployment - Ensure that solution design follows the established IT governance framework for deployment with required documentation.
