The Senior Workday Payroll Functional Consultant is responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of payroll operations, implementing payroll solutions, and supporting Workday configurations. They collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT to optimize payroll processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Workday Payroll Expertise:
- Extensive experience in configuring, implementing, and supporting Workday Payroll.
- In-depth knowledge of Workday Payroll business processes, configuration options, and system capabilities.
- Functional Consulting Skills:
- Experience in gathering business requirements and translating them into functional specifications.
- Ability to conduct gap analysis and recommend best practices for payroll processes.
- Skill in creating functional design documents for payroll configurations and integrations.
- Operational Support:
- Ability to troubleshoot payroll issues, including payroll calculations, deductions, and tax setup.
- Experience with payroll processing cycles, year-end processing, and quarterly tax filings.
- Knowledge of payroll compliance requirements, including tax laws and regulations in multiple jurisdictions.
- Project Management and Implementation Experience:
- Experience with at least two end-to-end Workday Payroll implementations.
- Understanding of project management methodologies and ability to work within project timelines.
