Looking for: A Workday System Administrator that will manage our Workday Financials System which includes but not limited to security, business processes, account posting rules, and system integrations. The Workday System Administrator role includes unrestricted access to create and maintain setup data, business processes, account posting rules, consolidation data, credit card, credit card transactions, financial organization, integrations, and reporting. In addition to serving as the Workday Administrator, the position will also oversee other financial systems such as Clearwater Analytics, Turnkey Lender, and Alteryx.
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on Workday FDM experience, including system-level security, business processes, reporting, integrations, and configurations.
- 2+ years of general Workday experience.
Thorough and highly technical understanding of Workday Administration particularly regarding functional configuration, reporting, security, and integration
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create and maintain data setups for all aspects of the Workday tenant across multiple companies. This includes assigning roles and approving business processes.
- Serve as the primary administrator for Workday, handling configuration, maintenance, data loads, integrations, and optimization.
- Manage Workday security configuration, business processes, and security administration.
- Stay updated on Workday’s roadmap and upcoming product releases, review release notes, assess new features and their impact on business processes and basic changes in functionality.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and resolve problems related to Workday functionality, data integrity, and system integrations.
- Maintain documentation related to system configurations, processes, and user guides.
- Monitor and track progress on Workday support tickets and support functional leads on escalated issues.
- Troubleshoot complex issues related to security and business processes.
- Ensure successful maintenance of financial modules within Workday.
- Configure the system to meet ongoing business needs and generate reports to support functions.
- Partner with Finance, IT (Information Technology), and other stakeholders to ensure a positive experience.
- Maintain System interfaces and integrations with downstream systems.
- Communicate effectively with project stakeholders across teams and levels.
- Diagnose and resolve related inquiries and elevate issues for resolution as appropriate.
- Generate, analyze, and distribute recurring Finance metrics and ad-hoc reports.
- Collaborate with users and provide excellent support and expertise related to system options, limitations, and dependencies.
- Provide recommendations for related enhancements and upgrades.
- Participate in strategy planning to implement new Workday modules based on the road map.
- Collaborate as a team member with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and translate them into Workday system configurations and workflows.
- Develop innovative solutions within existing functionality to address emerging needs. Collaborate with other team members to identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within Workday.
- Lead the configuration and maintenance of core Workday components, including organizations, hierarchies, security roles, business processes, reports, and integrations.
- Consult with Finance to adjust business processes and complex integrations in response to evolving needs.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of Workday business processes, custom reports, and analytics to support functional areas.
- Provide end-user support and training, ensuring employees and managers are equipped to effectively use Workday and its features.
- Lead system testing (unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing) for Workday updates, enhancements, and integrations.
- Assist in designing and implementing new functionalities.
- Recommend, implement, and plan for improvements, enhancements, and new applications to the Workday system.
- Contribute as the primary report writer and consult on creating complex calculated fields and dashboards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field from an accredited institution.
- 5+ years of hands-on Workday FDM experience, including system-level security, business processes, reporting, integrations, and configurations.
- 2+ years of general Workday experience.
- Strong attention to detail.

- Thorough and highly technical understanding of Workday Administration particularly regarding functional configuration, reporting, security, and integration.

- Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.
