The Workday Integration and Extend Solution Architect will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing robust Workday integrations and custom applications to meet the business needs of Danaher. This role will require a deep understanding of Workday’s integration tools, Workday Extend, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders to deliver scalable and maintainable solutions..
Key Responsibilities
Daily Maintenance
- Manage and provide leadership for the technical resources who support the integration break/fix efforts.
- Develop and manage the processes for ad-hoc integration support requests, ongoing maintenance, and enhancement delivery.
- Work with other functional solution architects to maintain a global integration inventory
- Understand and ensure security and data privacy standards are accounted for in day-to-day support activities.
- Provide oversight for conducting internal security audits and participate in SOX and/or internal audits where required .
Projects
- Manages and leads integration scope of work across various HR project types that includes building new or modifying existing integrations within the current Workday landscape.
- Responsible for designing and maintaining documentation of complex integration requirements (includes core connectors, Workday studio, RaaS, and other integration types).
- Provide oversight to HCM functional/technical support team during the design, build, and testing of new or updated functionality.
- Utilize Workday Extend to build custom applications that enhance the capabilities of the Workday platform.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and design Extend solutions that are user-friendly and aligned with business processes.
Workday Service Releases
- Coordinates Workday release management tasks such as impact assessment, regression test prep/execution, and post go-live monitoring.
General
- Log / maintain tickets in the ticket tracking system.
- Understand and document customer requirements and pain points.
- Act as subject matter expert in integration functionality and enabling technologies, with an understanding of industry best practices.
- Troubleshoot system technical and functional issues and coordinating issue resolution with development, technical, and operations teams.
- Mentor and provide leadership development to team members.
- See and understand the “holistic picture” and recognize and understand any impacts to upstream/downstream systems.
- Define development standards and communicate leading practices to the team.
Skills Required
- HR technical expertise and broad industry knowledge of HR integrations processes and systems.
- Prior Workday implementation or upgrade experience which includes tenant design, configuration and testing.
- Extensive experience with Workday’s technology stack and tools.
- Ability to understand data elements, data flow and associated impact on HR processes
- Strong organizational skills, ability to Multi-Task and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
- A good foundation in IT Project methodologies and leading practices.
- Experience with Vendor Management including working with an onshore/offshore model.
- Ability to work and coordinate with 3rd Parties on data related inquiries.
- Work with IT business partners to develop requirements for Workday changes and work with Workday resources to implement changes.
- Assist with testing of integration/security cases.
- Assist in documenting requirements for Workday integrations.
- Serve as an escalation point for unresolved production support issues; log / maintain cases.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in HRIS or information technology with demonstrated skills in HCM and/or compensation systems, specifically Workday.
- Bachelor’s Degree in related technology field.
- Has worked in a multi-operating company environment with proven experience in leading large-scale annual programs.
- Strong problem-solving skills to determine the root cause of technical problems with the ability to document effectively, escalate appropriately, and resolve in a timely manner.
- Collaborative team player who demonstrates flexibility and can-do attitude as part of a motivated, high-performance HR Systems Team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- The ability to prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and is organized and dependable.
