Job Description:
As a Workday Reports Developer, you will create and maintain reports and dashboards within the Workday platform, supporting both Human Capital Management and Financial Management areas for the Client. You will research, design, deliver, and maintain reporting solutions in response to emerging Workday technologies, customer requests, and operational changes, collaborating with partners and stakeholders to ensure system-wide impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with managers to develop an inventory of functional and technical reports to map to the Workday platform.
- Design, develop, and implement custom reports and dashboards in Workday using its reporting tools.
- Understand business requirements, data sources, and report specifications to create accurate and actionable reports.
- Analyse and interpret complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and key insights.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into meaningful reports and dashboards.
- Ensure the accuracy and reliability of existing reports and dashboards by regularly reviewing and updating them.
- Modify report layouts, data sources, or calculations to improve usability and relevance.
- Stay updated with Workday releases and leverage new features in reporting capabilities.
- Ensure the integrity and security of data used in reports and dashboards by adhering to data governance policies.
- Validate and reconcile data from multiple sources to ensure the reliability of report outputs.
Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information science, business, or a related field with three years of experience in report/analytics development, including business requirements gathering and documentation. OR associate’s degree with four years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Workday reporting tools such as Workday Report Writer, Report Designer, Adaptive Planning, and Prism Analytics.
- Experience supporting HCM functional areas like Payroll, Core HR, Benefits, Compensation, Recruiting, and Learning.
- Experience supporting Finance functional areas such as Financial Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Budgets, Procurement, and Expenses.
- Strong data analysis and interpretation skills, along with advanced Excel capabilities.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines, while maintaining accuracy and adherence to data governance principles.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
The hourly range for roles of this nature are $60.00 to $90.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
