Job Title: HRIS Manager
Job Summary: The HRIS Manager is responsible for overseeing and enhancing our internal HR systems, services, and processes. This role involves developing project plans, managing project timelines, and collaborating with team members to prioritize technology needs and plan for the future. The HRIS Manager will also handle HRIS upgrades, patches, testing, and other technical projects as part of our ongoing commitment to improving the HRIS.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Recruit, interview, hire, and train new team members within the department.
- Manage the daily activities and priorities of the HRIS team.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide continuous feedback to enhance staff performance.
General Responsibilities:
- Govern and drive continuous improvement for the company's HRIS.
- Ensure the efficient operation of the HRIS, including database management, network support, software installation, customization, development, maintenance, and application upgrades.
- Oversee internal database management, including file integrity, security, and backups.
- Implement and upgrade software to adapt to evolving business and technological needs.
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to system users.
- Work with executive leadership and HR staff to identify areas for improvement in existing HR information services and databases; propose, implement, and evaluate solutions.
- Act as the primary liaison between HR, Information Services, external vendors, and other stakeholders for HR database design and implementation projects.
- Manage and enhance vendor relationships related to HRIS and its supporting vendors.
- Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations.
- Stay current with trends and developments in data management, HR technology, and HRIS applications.
- Participate in user groups and industry conferences.
- Facilitate the migration to a unified HRIS if necessary.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Required Qualifications:
- 5-8 years of progressive experience in HRIS administration or database management.
- 1-3 years of supervisory experience.
- 1-3 years of experience with Workday.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and technical support abilities.
- Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proven project planning and execution capabilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of HR policies and procedures to align the HRIS with organizational needs and goals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Deep understanding of database construction and information systems, with a technical grasp of at least one commercial HRIS product.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Human Resource Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
