Background
Client is looking for a Contractor to serve as a Workday Benefits configurator as part of the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) team and Workday HCM Agile team providing support with troubleshooting, solutioning and system configuration best practices.
Requirement
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Human Resources, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience (MIS, CS, HR, HRIS).
- At least 4 years of enterprise resource planning (ERP), HCM implementation, and upgrade experience.
- Completion of at least one full implementation with Workday HCM and Benefits.
- Workday certified in HCM and Benefits a plus.
- Experience with Federal benefits plans a plus.
- Hands on experience with Workday Benefits configuration including BP’s.
- 2-5 years of industry knowledge in Benefits Administration or Human Resource Management with an understanding of benefit concepts such as plan designs, business processes and age reduction rules.
- Experience with ServiceNow HRSD and Agile modules a plus.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Experience in project and change management a plus.
- Proficient-level Microsoft Office Suite experience.
- Strong analytical, research and conceptual-thinking skills to visualize solutions to a wide variety of Benefits needs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and escalate when appropriate.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent ability to work both individually and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities shall include, but is not limited to, the following:
- Lead the Benefits workstream throughout the life cycle of enhancement projects.
- Analyze, troubleshoot and document any Benefits related issues.
- Recommend solutions, initiate corrective actions, follow up on issue resolution and inform customer of status.
- Responsible for adhering to the current project management methodology while influencing best practices, process improvements and procedures.
- Interfaces with the customer to understand their overall objectives and requirements.
- Manage cases/requests and stories via ServiceNow’s HRSD and Agile modules.
- Actively participates in Workday HCM Agile team as a configurator.
- Performs user acceptance testing of system changes and fixes
- Prepares reports in support of HR system work streams and operations
- Performs configuration of Workday system and documents accordingly
- Other duties as assigned.
