Job Description
Summary:
- Reporting to the Senior Manager, HRIS, the Analyst, HRIS will be responsible for HRIS systems set up and maintenance, changes, testing and troubleshooting, process improvements, data integrity, systems security and year-end support.
- The Analyst, HRIS will aid in auditing changes within systems to insure proper controls and assist in recommending and establishing new controls.
- Responsibilities further include management reporting and data feeds in conjunction with IT and external vendors, as well as assisting in assigned HRIS related projects, as needed.
Main Duties And Responsibilities
- Coordinates with HR internal customers to analyse HRIS requirements and develop and implement various HRIS procedures and prepare customized reports.
- Helps in the design of custom ad hoc reports and resolve queries and ensure accuracy in same and prepare business documents and provide upgrades, if required and monitor HRIS systems and maintain integrity of all data.
- Assists in the designing and maintenance of codes and tables, prepare reports for HR systems and applications, and analyse systems to resolve any issues and escalate more complex and large scale issues to Sr. Manager of HRIS and Analytics to handle and resolve.
- Creates test scenarios and assists project team members in performing tests to insure all processes work according to predetermined goals.
- Assists in the testing and implementing of file feeds and interfaces for any add-on technology to our HRIS system, as needed.
- Supports in the execution and/or monitoring all scheduled import/export interfaces and files to third party vendors.
- Assists in the execution of internal processes and perform audits in order to ensure integrity of all systems and collaborate with functional users to develop all business processes for various human resources systems and provide support to all associated activities.
- Assists in auditing and reviewing changes within HRIS systems to ensure proper controls and separation of duties and assist in establishing new controls, as needed.
- Aids in coordinating system and security administrator for multiple HRIS/Payroll related systems, as needed.
- Works with developing and conducting a robust training program, end-user support and assistance to HRIS users.
- Works with external vendor UltiPro and other service providers to insure the efficient, accurate, and timely exchange of information.
- Manages the HRIS Mailbox, this includes responding to questions raised by Field and Corporate HR .
- Runs queries/reports; analyze data, identify trends and prepare reports and presentations with rationale and conclusions.
- Assists with all non-union HRIS data entry, as needed.
- Provides supports to the HR team for projects and tasks, as required.
Skills/Experience
Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelors degree (B. S. ) or equivalent required.
- PHR a plus PMP a plus.
Work Experience
- Three to five years of experience within the HRIS and project arenas to include a proven ability to improve internal processes, and upgrade current technologies. knowledge of HRIS, management reporting and payroll processes within an UltiPro environment required.
- Must have demonstrated expertise in UltiPro HRIS, payroll and business processes with ability to take ownership of overall HRIS systems and process.
- Reporting and business intelligence (Cognos 8) experience including systems set up and organization as well as ongoing reporting to meet business needs.
- General overall knowledge and experience within Human Resources (e. g. compensation and benefits) with demonstrated ability to apply technical solutions to solve business problems in an effective manner, preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, project management experience, time management skills, excellent attention to detail, ability to maintain confidential information and ability to work well in a team environment
Technical Skills
- Ability to take initiative and be self-motivated.
- Knowledge of information technology and compensation best practices
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent spreadsheet, database, and presentation software skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels and operation units of the organization. Attention to detail and ability to provide fast turnaround when needed
- In depth knowledge of UltiPro Backoffice and . Net versions.
- Strong knowledge of Cognos 8/Business Intelligence report writing (i. e. report studio, query studio, dashboards, event studio, bursting) Working knowledge of both United States and Canada HR practices, benefits, and retirement programs, preferred

Required Skills
- This position has to have a sound understanding of Ultipro as an admin, as well as some experience with HR. The challenge is that they are getting people who are too IT-heavy, or to HR-heavy with no configuration experience).
- There are issues in Ultipro that require configuration to be fixed because the system has not been kept up. Once we move fully off UltiPro, this individual will service Workday, so they will be cross-trained (this usually excites people because Workday shops are so hard to get in to to learn).
- Reporting is big too. Experience of any version of Cognos/IBM reporting or reportsmith.
- JIRA/SNOW or a Ticketing system is highly desirable.
